Ohio State freshman DE arrested for shoplifting

Ohio State freshman defensive end Nathan Williams was arrested for shoplifting today at a mall in Dayton, OH.  The 6-4, 240lbs freshman is accused of attempting to steal three shirts who's sum total value is estimated at $80.  In a statement Williams explained that he was with a friend and as they exited the store the alarm went off.  Williams' friend informed him that he had taken the shirts and because the friend had previous legal problems Williams agreed to take the blame for the theft.  Williams had 12.5 tackles and two sacks on the season.   AbsolutePigskin.com will keep you up to date as more information comes out regarding this story.

What will happen to Williams?  If in fact he is covering for his friend could he be the dumbest athlete in collegiate history or the most honorable?  What are some of the other all time bonehead athletes from collegiate past?  Talk about it here in the message forums!
