Boyd chooses Clemson

Four star quarterback and recent Army All-American MVP Tajh Boyd made his college choice today and it was not what many Buckeye fans wanted to hear.  Boyd chose the Clemson Tigers over Oregon and Ohio State.  The Buckeyes are still expected to sign a quarterback in this class as they currently have but two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.  In recent weeks Boyd made some derogatory comments about current Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor basically coming out and saying that Pryor can't throw the ball and he would be able to compete and possibly start in place of Pryor.  (it was little known that Pryor had a shoulder injury and had minor surgery in the offseason to correct the problem but that is beside the point.)  Ohio State was long considered the leader for Boyd's services after previously being committed to both Tennessee (New coach Lane Kiffin told him he did not fit their system) and West Virginia (Boyd had a change of heart.).  Clemson came in in the last few weeks and really made an impression on Boyd.  AbsolutePigskin.com wishes Boyd the best of luck with his college choice.

Speaking of Clemson it reminded me of a photo that surfaced about a year or so ago of a Clemson recruit riding around with a large sum of cash.  Here you can see Kenneth Page riding around with a LARGE sum of cash.  Makes you wonder a bit about Clemson recruiting under then coach Bowden does it not?
