While these losses are not really impactful, I am hoping it's not a sign of lack of focus as a whole. Hope the boys can stay on track and go Circa Jan 97.
Ray Small and Robert Rose... two guys with TONS of potential who never did anything due to nothing more than a lack of work ethic. Rob Rose especially I remember DOMINATING the Army All American game. He had a shit load of potential that he never felt the need to develop. He was a HUGE disappointment to me as he was one of the OSU players in recent history that i really had high hopes for and was really excited to see.

Rose had some serious injuries and was finally healthy this year. I am not saying he didn't flake out, but he missed chunks of 3 seasons because of it.

Yes, Rose's injuries were troublesome and I'm sure they didn't help his overall attitude. A few injuries are bound to get you down and perhaps explain some of his flake outs. Small on the other hand I suspect comes from a bad environment and has bad people advising him (one of which is his father). Basically an environment that does not feel he should suffer consequences when he crosses the line in terms of being late for a meeting, screwing up in school, etc... basically just because he is a good football player. (I'd argue against him being a good football player too but that is another story all together. I am just speaking from the perspective of his advisers.)
